Frequently asked questions
What is a private lesson?
Private lessons are personalized training with one on one attention geared specifically towards players with a yearn and urgency to grow more consistent in specific skill sets. For example, setters take advantage of private lessons to get hundreds of setting opportunities with positionally based targets as their role on the team is all about precision and effectiveness.
You can expect constant feedback, a multitude of reps, and being challenged to grow as much as you can in our time together. It’s important to point out that you only get out what you put in, so get to it!
Where will the lessons be held?
Private lessons are hosted at WAVE Volleyball in Del Mar, CA:
If you are NOT from San Diego and are interested in a private lesson, don’t hesitate to reach out! Let’s work something out, I love to travel!
How do the Prepaid Private Lesson packages work?
The first step is to choose and purchase your discounted package, then soon after you’ll receive a confirmation email with a code to redeem your lessons. When booking, click the “LESSON PACKAGE CLIENTS” tab and enter in your personalized coupon code to redeem your private lesson.
Lesson packages are nonrefundable as it offers the player discounted rates per hour of training. Coach Rose will keep track of lessons, however the responsibility of booking lies solely with the client as the “first come, first serve” policy remains.
My daughter is new to volleyball. How can you help her?
My favorite question! I love this sport and understand that we all start somewhere: and this is a perfect place to do it. Although my preferred clientele are regional/elite ranked athletes, as long as your player has a drive to grow, can AND APPLY take technical feedback, has a positive attitude with a little pep in their step I’m sure we can accomplish anything together. If this applies to you, please contact me and let’s chat!
My family has a busy schedule. Is it possible to schedule weekly lessons at the same time?
Unfortunately the facility is utilized by countless teams and clinics for various age groups, so court time is an ever-changing variable. However, I am now able to book lessons far into the future, so let’s get together to take a look at what’s available! Regularly scheduled lessons are not guaranteed and subject to the “first come, first serve” policy and timely booking on the player’s behalf around teams, clinics, and camps at WAVE.
Does this make up for missed practices?
Private lessons do not make up for missed practices as they are a separate service offered by Coach Rose outside of the club scene. Although one on one attention during lessons is highly impactful, nothing comes close to practicing with your team to build the critical court chemistry every legendary team needs.
My daughter plays for a different club. Can she still do a private lesson at WAVE?
Of course! Players from all around are welcomed to our facility to train. The only conflict is group lessons during high school season per CIF regulations, but private lessons are viewed as the equivalent of hiring a personal trainer: not a conflict of interest.
(If this will be your first time at WAVE’s facility, you’ll need to complete the liability waiver prior to the start of your scheduled lesson. Contact Coach Rose for more info!
Do you offer group lessons?
YES! Group lessons are scheduled for 2-hour time blocks for up to 3 players at $125/player.
